jassids and whiteflies on cotton.
- Dantop is highly effective against nymphs and adults of brown plant
Hopper, Nilaparvatha lugens in rice.
Soon after Dantop application in the field, Dantop kills all nymphs
and adults of BPH. Nymphs emerging after spray are also killed.
Dantop has a unique mode of action, which is different from
that of all other currently available systemic insecticides. That is,
Dantop acts as an agonist of Acetyl Choline (Ach) in the insect body.
When Dantop is orally/dermally taken into the body of the insect pests,
Dantop binds to the Acetyl Choline (Ach) receptor on the post-synaptic
membrane of synapse. This process ensures the complete mortality of the
