parentage, which may be responsible for clonal differences in the performance
of mango varieties.
No attempt has yet been made to standardize rootstocks in mango.
Successful clonal multiplication is a pre-requisite to any programme.
Air-layering of mango has not been used for propagation of clonal
rootstocks due to various limitations.
The modified method of stool-layering is an easy technique for multiplying
selected rootstocks in mango vegetatively.
